This album continues the Undecisive God "Archive" series; in 2006 I ceased using that moniker, instead performing and issuing under my own name.
All 7 tracks available on purchase.
1. Every Night & Every Morn Some To Misery Are Born (with Zac Keiller) - This and the next track were the result of a recording/jam session with Zac in January 2006. Zac played guitar and provided the field recordings, and I played guitar as well. This track was released on the "Defenders of the Axe #1" compilation CD (Dreamland Recordings, 2006), and also on Zac's Bokor project's "Loss" CD (ZAC, 2006). These tracks were removed from later online versions of "Loss" and reworked by Zac as the title track of Zac and my "Residential" CD (ZAC, 2009).
2. Every Morn & Every Night Some Are Born To Sweet Delight (with Zac Keiller) - Recorded January 2006, released on Bokor's "Loss" CD (ZAC, 2006).
3. Live at Loop, Melbourne, 31 January 2006 (with Zac Keiller) - Full live recording of Zac and my duo set for the "Defenders of the Axe #1" gig, with the same instrumentation as above. This live recording was the source material for the track "Like Birds" that appeared on our "Residential" CD (ZAC, 2009).
4. Cricket - This is an earlier version of the track "Non-Cricket" that appeared on Undecisive God's "Everything's Broken" CD (Shame File Music, 2007). The sounds are taken from a TV broadcast of a test cricket match, with the commentary edited out. "Non-Cricket" had the sounds of bat and ball edited out as well, but they remain here, along with the sound accompanying the slow motion replays. This track is previously unreleased.
5. Southern Currents - I was asked by a friend who was on the organising committee of a law librarian conference to provide a sound piece to be played at the conference to indicate the start of a new session. The sounds are generated from looped guitar, sampled keyboard tapping, and a text-to-speech program (the acronyms read out are familiar to law librarians!). With the payment I received for this commission, I purchased an iPod. Recorded mid-2006.
6. Duo - Recorded September 2006, this track is similar in character to the material from the Undecisive God "Offering" CD (Shame File Music, 2003), except that only two guitars are used, each through digital delay. This track was released on the "String Theory" compilation CD (Dreamland Recordings, 2007).
7. Duo 2 - Recorded September 2006, again with two guitars and some digital delay, but differs from the previous track in that this piece is much more an improvisation. Previously unreleased.
